Brian S. Katcher, Pharm.D., is the author of MEDLINE: a guide
to effective searching in PubMed and other interfaces, now
in its second edition. Dr. Katcher has edited clinical pharmacy
textbooks and written about prescription drugs and public health
for scholarly journals and for a broader audience.
He is interested in both the clinical use of drugs for common
health problems and public health strategies to reduce the burden
of these problems. His promotion of the most effective use of
PubMed/MEDLINE supports a larger vision of evidence-based health
policy and practice.
